Mission Statement:
To encourage and educate
its members and the greater Louisville business community by
providing seminars, speakers, and training and by promoting
business contacts, mutual co-operation, and friendships, and
by advocating for equality for gay men, lesbians, and
bisexual and transgender persons (GLBT), and by advocating
for diversity in business.
Why we do what we
do:
The Kentuckiana Rainbow Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (KRCC)
is committed to promoting the success of the Gay, Lesbian,
Bisexual, and Transgender (GLBT) community and its allies in
and around Greater Louisville, Kentucky and Southern
Indiana.
KRCC provides assistance including networking events,
collective advertising, general business training, and
specialized training in Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and
Transgender (GLBT) issues.
GLBT
Persons:
As a KRCC member you will be able to grow your business
with people who are comfortable with who you are. Your
partner doesn't have to be relegated to "roommate" status.
Here, you're among friends.
You will be
able to receive mentoring from those who have gone before
you and you'll be able to share your knowledge.
GLBT Allies:
The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender market in
Greater Louisville and Southern Indiana is expected to have
an economic impact of $2.76 BILLION in 2011. This is a
market you want to tap. The GLBT community is among the most
loyal niche markets and will reward supportive
businesses for years to come.
Buying ads in
the GLBT media should be a part of your GLBT initiative, but only
a part. You need to show your support the
community by being involved. One way to show that involvement
is by coming to KRCC events. This shows that you're committed
to serving the GLBT community and, equally as important,
you're comfortable with GLBTs. |
